Castiarina sagittaria

Meaning of name:

The name Castiarina is derived from that of Francois Louis Nompar de Castelnau. Sagittaria is from the Latin word sagitta meaning arrow.

Distribution:

This beetle occurs on the central coastal plain of Western Australia.

Description:

This beetle is approximately 12 millimetres long.

Notes:

We have found it on Melaleuca huegelii flowers in December.
