



Ursinia anthemoides
Common name: Ursinia
Ursinia is named in honour of Johannes Heinrich Ursinus (1608 – 1667), superintendent of the botanic gardens at Regensburg, Germany. Anthemoides is from the genus Anthemis and the Greek suffix oides, meaning like.
Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia.
An erect annual to 50 centimetres with feathery leaves. The brownish yellow flowers are produced in August and September. The seed heads are more conspicuous giving the appearance of bunches of five-petalled white flowers.
This species is originally from Namibia.
