


Trifolium arvense
Common name: Hare’s Foot Clover
Trifolium is from the Latin words tres, meaning three, and folium, meaning leaf. Arvense is from the Latin words arvum, meaning cultivated place, and ensis, meaning native of, that is, growing in cultivated land.
Occurs in the south west of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern Australia.
A herb to 50 centimetres tall. The white to pink flowers are produced from September to November.
This species is originally from Europe, western Asia and northern Africa.
