


Tricoryne elatior
Common name: Yellow Autumn Lily
Tricoryne is from the Greek words treis, meaning three, and costula, meaning small rib, referring to the nut which is 3-ribbed. Elatior is a Latin word meaning taller.
Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern Australia. Scattered occurrences elsewhere.
Slender stems to 50 centimetres long are held erect or, more usually, lie on the ground. Yellow flowers, up to 25 millimetres in diameter, are produced from September to February.
