






Trachymene pilosa
Common name: Native Parsnip
Meaning of name:
Trachymene comes from the Greek words trachys, meaning rough, and hymen, meaning skin, referring to the fruit. Pilosa comes from the Latin word pilosus, meaning hairy.
Distribution:
Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern Australia.
Description:
An erect herb to 30 centimetres tall. The small white flowers are produced from August to October.
