



Thysanotus arenarius
Common name: Sand-dune Fringed Lily
Thysanotus is from the Greek word thysanotos, meaning fringed. Arenarius is a Latin word meaning pertaining to or growing in sand.
Occurs in near-coastal parts of the southwest of Western Australia.
The rough stems are up to 70 centimetres long and can be held upright or along the ground. The purple, fringed flowers are produced at the end of the stems from October to December.
