Styphelia tenuiflora
Common name: Common Pinheath
Styphelia is from the Greek word styphelos, meaning tough or harsh, referring to the stiff, prickly leaves. Tenuiflora is from the Latin words tenuis, meaning thin, narrow or delicate, and floris, meaning flower.
The berries of Styphelia tenuiflora were eaten.
Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia.
A shrub to 1 metre tall. The white flowers are up to 30 millimetres long and are borne from April to July.
