Stylidium calcaratum

Common name: Book Triggerplant

Meaning of name:

Stylidium is from the Latin word stylus, meaning style, and the diminutive –idium. Calcaratum is from the Latin word calcar, meaning spur or spurred.

Distribution:

Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern Australia.

Description:

An ephemeral herb with a flowering stem to 20 centimetres tall. The white or pink flowers are produced from September to November.
