Meaning of name:

Unknown.

Unknown.

Description:

This spider has a body length of approximately 15 millimetres.

This spider was seen in February.

There are 19 species of Neosparassus in Australia. They are commonly known as badge huntsman spiders because of the distinctive and colourful badge or shield on the underside of the abdomen.

Neosparassus species can be found living under loose bark on trees, in crevices on rock walls and in logs, under rocks and slabs of bark on the ground, and on foliage. Some Neosparassus species in woodlands are burrow builders, with and without trapdoors.
