


Scaevola repens
Scaevola is named after the Roman C. Mucius Scaevola. He burned off his right hand after being apprehended for the attempted assassination of Porsena. The name refers to the one-sided fan-shaped flower. Repens is a Latin word meaning crawling. It refers to the plant being prostrate.
Occurs in western parts of the southwest of Western Australia.
A prostrate undershrub to 30 centimetres tall. The white to pale blue flowers are produced from August to January.
