



Romulea rosea
Common Name: Guildford Grass
Romulea is descended from the Latin name Romulus, the first king of Rome. Rosea is from the Latin word roseus, meaning rosy.
Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern Australia.
The fine leaves grow to 40 centimetres long. The flowers are pink with a yellow centre and produced close to the ground. R. rosea flowers from August to October.
This species is originally from southern Africa.
