Romulea flava

Meaning of name:

Romulea is descended from the Latin name Romulus, the first king of Rome. Flava is from the Latin word flavus, meaning yellow.

Distribution:

Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern Australia.

Description:

The flowers, produced in August and September, are yellow with petals up to 15 millimetres long.

Notes:

This species is originally from southern Africa.
