Raphanus raphanistrum

Common name: Wild Radish

Meaning of name:

Raphanus is a Latin word meaning radish. Raphanistrum is the former name of the genus.

Distribution:

Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern Australia with scattered occurrences elsewhere.

Description:

An erect annual herb to 1 metre tall. The yellow or white flowers are produced from August to November.

Notes:

This species is originally from Europe.
