Polycarpon tetraphyllum

Common name: Fourleaf Allseed

Meaning of name:

Polycarpon is from the Greek word polycarpos, meaning rich in fruit or fruitful. Tetraphyllum is from the Greek words tetra, meaning four, and phyllus, meaning leaved.

Distribution:

Occurs in south western and south eastern Australia.

Description:

An annual to 15 centimetres tall. The green, red or white flowers can be produced from May to January.

Notes:

This species is originally from Europe.
