Meaning of name: Unknown.

Aboriginal name: Noomar.

Aboriginal use: The spores were used to prevent infection and promote healing. The young fruits were eaten.

Distribution: Unknown.

Description: This fungus grows in leaf litter and disturbed areas. It can sometimes be found to be pushing through bitumen.

These can grow up to 25 centimetres tall and become powdery as they disintegrate and release their spores.
