


Petrorhagia dubia
Common name: Velvet Pink
Petrorhagia is from the Greek words petros, meaning a rock, and rhagia, meaning burst or crack. Dubia is from the Latin word dubius, meaning uncertain or doubtful.
Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern Australia.
An erect herb to 60 centimetres tall. The pink flowers are produced from September to November.
This species is originally from the Mediterranean region.
