Common name: Common Mignonette Orchid

Meaning of name:

Microtis is from the Greek words micros, meaning small and otos, meaning ear, referring to the ear-like projections on each side of the flower. Media is from the Latin medius, meaning middle, common or intermediate.

Distribution:

Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia.

Description:

Up to 100 inconspicuous flowers are held on stems to 60 centimetres high.
