



Microlaena stipoides
Common name: Weeping Grass
Microlaena is from the Greek words micros, meaning small, and chlaina, meaning cloak. Stipoides refers to the genus Stipa and the suffix oides means like.
Occurs in the southwest of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern and eastern Australia.
A slender perennial to 60 centimetres tall. The flowers are produced from September to November.
