Metaballus frontalis

Common name: Common Marauding Katydid

Meaning of name:

Unknown.

Distribution:

Found in the south-west of Western Australia.

Description:

The larger of the photographed katydids had a body length of approximately 80 millimetres.

Notes:

Marauding katydids eat other insects and will eat flowers.

We have seen these katydids in October and December.
