



Lotus subbiflorus
Common name: Hairy Birdsfoot Trefoil
Lotus is from the Greek word lotos, meaning the lotus plant. Subbiflorus is from the Latin words sub, meaning somewhat, and bi-, meaning two, and floris, meaning flower.
Occurs in the south west of Western Australia. Also occurs in south eastern Australia.
A prostrate annual to 30 centimetres across. The yellow flowers are produced from August to February.
This species is originally from Europe.
