Lobelia tenuior
Common name: Slender Lobelia
Meaning of name:
Lobelia is named in honour of Matthias de l’Obel (1538 – 1616), a Flemish botanist and physician to King James 1 of England. Tenuior is a Latin word meaning thinner, narrower or more delicate.
Distribution:
Mainly occurs in near-coastal areas of the south west of Western Australia.
Description:
A herb to 50 centimetres tall. The blue flowers are produced from October to January.
