Distribution:
Reported from eastern and southern Australia.
Description:
This bee fly was approximately 12 millimetres long.
Notes:
Bee flies occur on every continent except Antarctica. While the adults eat nectar and pollen, almost all bee fly larvae are parasites of other insects’ larvae.
This fly has been seen in January.
