Lepidosperma pubisquameum

Meaning of name:

Lepidosperma is from the Greek words lepis, meaning scale, and sperma, meaning seed. It refers to the scales surrounding the nut. Pubisquameum is from the Latin words pubes, meaning soft, downy hair, and squama, meaning scale.

Distribution:

Occurs in the south west of Western Australia.

Description:

A herb to 40 centimetres tall. Flowers are borne in May.
