Lachenalia reflexa

Meaning of name:

Lachenalia commemorates the Swiss botanist Prof. Werner de Lachenal. Reflexa is from the Latin word reflexus meaning bent or angled backwards.

Distribution:

Naturalized in a few locations near Perth.

Description:

Two basal leaves surround a flowering stem to 10 centimetres tall. The greenish-yellow flowers are produced in July and August.

Notes:

This plant is originally from South Africa.
