Meaning of name:
Jacksonia honours George Jackson (1780 – 1811) a Scottish botanist. Sternbergiana honours Caspar Moritz von Sternberg (1761 – 1838), a Bohemium botanist and patron, a founder of the Bohemian National Museum, Prague.
Distribution:
Occurs in the south west of Western Australia.
Description:
A shrub to 4 metres tall. The yellow flowers are produced all year.
