Jacksonia furcellata

Common name: Grey Stinkwood

Meaning of name:

Jacksonia honours George Jackson (1780 – 1811) a Scottish botanist. Furcellata is from the Latin words furca, meaning two-pronged fork, and the diminutive –ell-. It refers to the forked branchlets.

Distribution:

Occurs in the south west of Western Australia.

Description:

A shrub to 4 metres tall. The yellow and orange flowers are produced from August to March.
