Common name: Common Sluggish Katydid

Meaning of name:

Unknown.

Distribution:

Reported from Exmouth in Western Australia, throughout the southwest and coastal areas to Adelaide in South Australia.

Description:

The katydids in the photographs had body lengths between 30 and 80 millimetres.

Notes:

The adults eat other insects.

We have photographed this katydid in September, October and December.
