Common name: Tau Emerald

Meaning of name:

Unknown.

Distribution:

Found across most of Australia.

Description:

There are dark markings on the upper surface of the yellow abdominal segments.

Notes:

The larvae inhabit pools, lakes and ponds. The adults are vagrants.

We have photographed this species in September, October, November and February.
