



Leontodon rhagadioloides
Common name: Cretan Weed
Leontodon is from the Greek words leon, meaning lion, and otos, meaning ear. Rhagadioloides is from the genus Rhagodia and the suffix –oides, meaning like.
Occurs throughout much of southern Australia.
An annual herb to 60 centimetres tall. The yellow flowers are produced from August to November.
This plant is originally from the Mediterranean. It was previously known as Hedypnois rhagadioloides.
