




Gompholobium tomentosum
Common name: Hairy Yellow Pea
Gompholobium is from the Greek words gomphos, meaning club, and lobos, meaning pod. Tomentosum is from the Latin words tomentum, meaning wooly padding of cushions, and osus, meaning abounding in. Botanically it means covered with dense, short, matted hairs.
Occurs in the south west of Western Australia.
A shrub to 1 metre tall. The yellow flowers are produced from August to December.
