Eryngium pinnatifidum

Common name: Blue Devils

Meaning of name:

Eryngium is from the Greek word eryggion, the name used by Dioscorides for this plant or some thistle. Pinnatifidum is from the Latin words pinnatus, meaning feathered, and findo, meaning to split.

Distribution:

Occurs in the south west of Western Australia.

Description:

A plant to 50 centimetres tall. The white or blue flowers are produced from August to November.
