Eriochilus dilatatus subsp. dilatatus

Common name: White Bunny Orchid

Meaning of name:

Eriochilus is from the Greek words erion, meaning wool, and cheilos, meaning lip. Dilatatus is a Latin word meaning enlarged or widened.

Distribution:

This orchid can be found in Jarrah forest and coastal Banksia woodland in the south west of Western Australia.

Description:

This plant has a flower spike up to 45 centimetres tall. It can hold up to 20 individual white flowers from March to June.
