


Eragrostis curvula
Common name: African Love Grass
Eragrostis is from the Greek words eros, meaning love, and agrostis, meaning a grass. Curvula is from the Latin words curvus, meaning crooked or bent, and the diminutive –ul-, meaning a little bent.
Occurs across much of southern Australia.
A tufted perennial to 1.2 metres tall. The flowers are produced in spring and summer.
This species is originally from South Africa.
