



Ehrharta longiflora
Common name: Annual Veldt Grass
Ehrharta honours Friedrich Ehrharta (1742 – 1795), a Swiss botanist. Longiflora is from the Latin longus, meaning long, and floris, meaning flower.
Occurs in the south west of Western Australia. Also found in south eastern Australia.
A tufted annual to 60 centimetres tall. The greenish-purple flowers are produced from July to November.
This species is originally from South Africa.
