





Carcinophora occidentalis
Meaning of name:
Unknown.
Distribution:
Reported from the southwest of Western Australia and around Adelaide, South Australia.
Description:
This earwig was approximately 15 millimetres long.
Notes:
We have photographed this species between August and February.
A different colour form of this species was known as Gonolabis michaelseni but it is now recognised as being Carcinophora occidentalis.
