Dipogon lignosus

Common name: Dolichos Pea

Meaning of name:

Dipogon is from the Greek words dis, meaning double, and pogon, meaning beard. Lignosus is a Latin word meaning woody.

Distribution:

Occurs from Perth to Israelite Bay. Also recorded from other parts of Australia.

Description:

A twining plant to 6 metres high. The white, pink or purple flowers are produced from September to December.
