Common name: Scarlet Percher

Unknown.

Distribution:

Occurs throughout mainland Australia.

Description:

The males are red. The females are yellow with black markings.

Notes:

Inhabits streams and rivers as well as still waters.

We have photographed this species in November, December and February.
