Meaning of name:
Daviesia honours Hugh Davies (1739 – 1821), a Welsh botanist. Physodes is from the Greek words physa, meaning a pair of bellows or stream of fire, and odes, meaning like.
Distribution:
Occurs from Geraldton to Augusta.
Description:
A shrub to 1.8 metres tall. The red and yellow flowers are produced from July to November.
