Distribution:
Reported from throughout Australia.
Description:
This wasp is approximately 20 millimetres long.
Notes:
This species is known to lay its eggs in the nests of mud-dauber wasps. The developing young consume the contents of the nest which can include the mud-dauber’s young and paralysed spiders and insects.
