Conostylis aculeata

Common name: Prickly Conostylis

Meaning of name:

Conostylis is from the Greek words conos, meaning cone, and stylos, meaning column, botanically, the style. Aculeata is from the Latin aculeatus, meaning furnished with prickles.

Distribution:

Occurs in the south west of Western Australia.

Description:

A tufted plant to 50 centimetres tall. The yellow flowers are produced in September and October.
