



Conostephium preissii
Conostephium comes from the Greek words conos, meaning cone, and stephanos, meaning that which encircles, a crown or wreath. Preissii honours Johann August Ludwig Preiss (1811 – 1883) who collected more than 2,700 species from Western Australia.
Occurs in the south west of Western Australia.
A shrub to 1.5 metres tall. The pendulous flowers are white with a purple tip and produced all year.
Conostephium preissii differs from Conostephium pendulum in having smaller flowers, being a larger plant and flowering for a longer period.
