Coccinella transversalis

Unknown.

Distribution:

Found all over Australia and in parts of Asia.

Description:

From 4 millimetres to 8.5 millimetres long. The domed wing-covers are an orange to orange-red colour with black transverse markings.

Notes:

This is the most common ladybird in Australia. The adults and larvae feed on aphids.

We have photographed this beetle from November to May.
