



Chasmanthe floribunda
Common name: African Cornflag
The meaning of Chasmanthe is not known. Floribunda is from the Latin words flos or floris, meaning flower, and abundus, meaning abounding in.
Occurs in the south west of Western Australia. Also recorded from the south east of Australia.
A bulb to 1.5 metres tall. The orange or yellow flowers are produced from July to October.
This species is originally from South Africa.
