Castiarina subcincta

Meaning of name:

The name Castiarina is derived from that of Francois Louis Nompar de Castelnau. The meaning of subcincta is not known.

Distribution:

This beetle occurs on the western side of the Darling Scarp, Western Australia.

Description:

This beetle is approximately 13 millimetres long.

Notes:

We have found it on Astartea scoparia in December.
