Castiarina pallidiventris
The name Castiarina is derived from that of Francois Louis Nompar de Castelnau. Pallidiventris is from the Latin words pallidus, meaning pale, and venter, meaning belly.
This beetle occurs over most of the southwest of Western Australia, southern South Australia and Victoria.
This beetle is approximately 10 millimetres long.
This beetle has been seen feeding on the flowers of Astartea scoparia in December and January.
It is possible that Astartea scoparia is the host of the beetle larvae.
