Meaning of name:
Cartonema is from the Greek words cartos, meaning shorn smooth, and nema, meaning thread. Philydroides is from the genus Philydrum and oides, meaning like.
Distribution:
Occurs from Kalbarri to Northcliffe.
Description:
The plant grows to 30 centimetres tall and is covered in hairs. The yellow flowers are produced in October and November.
