Cornu apertus
Common name: Green Snail

Established in the Perth area. Scattered occurrences in other parts of Australia.
This snail grows a shell to approximately 25 millimetres in diameter. Its colour is a uniform green to dark brown. It doesn’t have any bands or other markings. The body is a cream colour.
This snail has been introduced to Australia and become a pest species. It damages most vegetables, cereals and grasses.
If this snail is found outside the Perth metropolitan area it should be reported to the Department of Agriculture and Food.
