Distribution:
Reported from the south west of Western Australia and from southern parts of eastern Australia. Occasional reports elsewhere in Australia.
Description:
This bug was approximately 10 millimetres long.
Notes:
This bug eats other invertebrates. It is a predator of soft-bodied insects, including caterpillars. It is considered an important predator of agricultural pests including pear and cherry slug (larva of the sawfly Caliroa cerasi).
It was photographed in January.
