



Brachychiton populneus
Common name: Kurrajong
Brachychiton is from the Greek words brachys, meaning short, and chiton, meaning tunic. Populneus is from the Latin word populnus, meaning of or related to poplars, poplar-like.
Planted in gardens and used as a street tree, this tree has naturalized in Perth urban bushland areas and the southwest of Western Australia.
A tree to 20 metres tall with cream flowers produced in spring.
This species is originally from eastern Australia.
