Austrostipa compressa

Meaning of name:

Austrostipa is from the Latin words austro, meaning southern, and stipa, meaning fibre. Compressa is from the Latin word compressus, meaning pressed together, compressed or flattened.

Distribution:

Reported from the southwest of Western Australia.

Description:

A grass to 45 centimetres tall with the green flowers borne from September to December.
